Accelerator Rap – the course that won the 2020 AOM Innovation in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy Award – has inspired a national (US) challenge for undergrads. Teams of undergrads will compete in the creation of animated music videos designed to help girls and kids of color see themselves in innovative entrepreneurial careers. Participants will engage in active learning about diversity in entrepreneurship, and they will craft media works that can become part of their portfolios. (For an example of student work see - https://psu.mediaspace.kaltura.com/media/t/1_r0zabpd9 ) Make sure teams from your school are represented in the competition by getting involved as a partner today – https://forms.office.com/r/R7VwfaHf6v.

The Challenge is supported by Adobe, Anchor Point Foundation and other leading organizations. The 2022 judges and judging categories are: Charles Alexander, Berklee School of Music (musical/lyrical artistry); Bill Aulet, MIT Trust Center for Entrepreneurship (clarity of entrepreneurial concept); Milton Chen, George Lucas Educational Foundation (educational merit); Monica Lago-Kaytis, Rise Up Animation (visual artistry); and Betsy Campbell (inclusive spirit of the contest).

Student teams can register from November 29, 2021 through the submission date of February 28, 2022. Other key dates include a virtual kickoff in December, AMAs with judges and Insight Sessions with experts in January, video submission deadline and social event in February, Insight Sessions on NFTs and the creator economy in March, and the Finale and Awards Presentation in April, 2022. All activities are virtual, and links will be made available to registered teams and to university partners.
