The Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS) at the University of Milano-Bicocca is looking for a Research Appointee to join a project on early-stage entrepreneurial experimentation, coordinated by Professor Salvatore Torrisi. This is a 2-year appointment starting July 1st, 2026 (renewable for one year), based in Milan.
The project explores how potential entrepreneurs develop and test their business ideas before or around market entry - through activities such as business planning, business plan competitions, customer feedback, and fundraising - and how these pre-entry steps shape subsequent performance.
The position is open to both pre-doc as well as post-doc candidates. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in Management, Economics, Management Engineering, or Statistics (with specialization in economics or management), obtained no more than six years before the deadline. Working proficiency in Italian and English is required. Selection is based on qualifications and an online interview scheduled for 27 May 2026.
