Event Logistics and Planning

Message from the Co-Chairs

The Event Logistics and Planning (ELP) Committee is responsible for:
  • Planning local logistics and support for Annual Meeting events
  • Ensuring continuity in event planning for future conferences
  • Coordinating key division events, including the annual ENT social, doctoral, new faculty, mid-career, and late-career consortia
  • Securing support and sponsorships for ENT division activities

The ELP Committee is co-chaired by Diana Hechavarria and Susan Young, along with the Treasurer and PDW Chair, as well as additional volunteers and advisory Representatives-at-Large (RALs) as needed. We also engage with area experts to incorporate local knowledge into our planning.

Each year, the committee identifies event venues and organizes logistics for networking and social gatherings. One of our key responsibilities is coordinating the ENT Saturday Night Social, which requires pre-registration through the AOM PDW system. No tickets will be sold at the door, and attendance is limited to registered participants.

The ELP Committee also plays a key role in organizing the annual consortia, including:
  • Doctoral Consortium
  • Early Career Development Consortium
  • Mid-Career Consortium
  • Late-Career Consortium
If you are interested in attending any of these, please refer to the announcements on the ENT Division website and list-serve digest for registration details and points of contact.
Additionally, the ELP Committee oversees the planning of the dissertation award celebratory dinners for:
  • The Heizer Award – Recognizing outstanding doctoral research on high-potential new ventures, venture capital, or corporate entrepreneurship.
  • The NFIB Award – Honoring research on independent small businesses, family businesses, and minority businesses.
The committee is actively working on upcoming conferences and is looking for local experts to assist in future planning.

If you are interested in learning more or contributing to event planning, please contact Diana Hechavarria at dhechavarria@babson.edu or Susan Young at syoun103@kennesaw.edu.

We look forward to connecting with you at future events!
