AOM PDW
Advancing Management & Entrepreneurship Research in the Latin American Context
Call for Abstracts
We invite submissions of extended abstracts for participation in the PDW: Advancing Management & Entrepreneurship Research in the Latin American Context
This PDW is designed to foster collaborations, mentorship, and theory development around management and entrepreneurship research in and about Latin America. Building on growing calls to expand contextualized theorizing and leverage underexplored empirical settings (e.g., Filatotchev et al., 2022; Shepherd et al., 2025).
The roundtable sessions will provide a developmental and interactive forum where scholars will receive feedback on their research projects and ideas. Participants will engage with senior scholars and peers to refine their projects, strengthen contributions, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Consistent with the broader goals of the PDW, discussions will emphasize:
- The value and uniqueness of Latin America as a context for theory building
- The importance of contextualized and reflexive research approaches
- Strategies for designing and positioning research for publication in leading journals
Submission Guidelines
Extended abstracts should not exceed 600 words (excluding references) and must include:
- Principal Topic
Clearly articulate the research question, phenomenon, or theoretical focus.
- Methods / Research Design
Describe the methodological approach, data sources, or empirical setting.
