The Entrepreneurship Division is sponsoring a Late Career Consortium for faculty 20 years past their doctorate (and older). Like the other career- oriented consortia, this one gives participants a chance to hear and explore topics related to late career teaching, research, other aspects of work, and life in general. There will be 9 tables whose topics are:
- Getting Back on Track: You didn't think it would be so easy to stop writing, did you? Ralph Hanke (Western State Colorado University)
- The Boomers Retire from Academe, Barbara Bird (Emeritus, American University)
- Aging Faculty in the Digital World, Zoltan Acs (George Mason University)
- Writing for books and the web, Jerome Katz (Saint Louis University)
- The Last Great Work? Musings on Ways to Climb Everest, William Gartner (Babson College)
- What's a CASS and Why Senior Scholars Should Care, Bob Ford (University of Central Florida)
- An Entrepreneurial Approach to Designing your Later Stage Career, Candida Brush (Babson College)
- Making an Impact Through Community Engagement, Kimberly Eddleston (Northeastern University) & Roland Kidwell (Florida Atlantic University)
- Changing Tracks: Moving to Administrative Work in Your Career and Beyond, Scott R. Safranski (Emeritus, Saint Louis University)
There will be four 20-minute sessions during the consortium, so participants will have a chance to change tables and explore multiple topics.
