AACSB accredited School with its full-time MBA ranked in the Economist top 100, the ULMS is an international management school based in an enterprising and vibrant, world city of culture. Formed in 2002, with significant investment from the University, and led by the Dean, Professor Julia Balogun, the School is well positioned to further enhance its national and international standing, giving particular emphasis over the next period to developing world-class research activity. ULMS has 180 academic staff who enjoy a strongly collegial, research-supportive, and intellectually stimulating interdisciplinary environment. Faculty within the School operate in five subject groups (Accounting and Finance; Economics; Marketing and Operations; Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship; Work, Organisation and Management) but adopt a distinctive, highly collaborative approach, working in interdisciplinary teams which span the School and University. The School is also well-connected with industry and the professions. Its research activity and external relationships have clear real-world orientation consistent with its mission of making a difference in the academic community but also through delivering impact for business and society, both nationally and internationally.

The School benefits from strong student numbers and satisfaction across a suite of undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience programmes. In 2014 ULMS also established its presence in London, where it now offers a range of City-relevant programmes from the newly developed UoL London Campus in Finsbury Square. Globally, the School continues its partnership with the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, in Suzhou, China. The School's global presence is further enhanced through its growing suite of postgraduate online programmes developed within Liverpool Online, the University's partnership with Laureate Online Education.

The Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE) group is now seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Entrepreneurship. Candidates will possess a relevant PhD, or be close to completion of a PhD, and an embryonic track record of publications in world-leading or internationally-excellent journals. Further, candidates will be able to evidence future research plans demonstrating a capacity to sustain and extend the existing high level of output. SIBE faculty regularly publish in top-tier journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Research Policy, California Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of World Business.

Candidates will also be expected to have demonstrated at least a willingness to teach and an interest in module delivery, and are likely to have undertaken some teaching duties at undergraduate or postgraduate level. The School seeks excellence in all aspects of the student experience and for individuals with a passion for innovative pedagogies and the capacity to create and deliver new and highly contemporary modules.
