• 2022 Division Scholarly Program: Call for Submissions

(posted on behalf of @Jon Carr, Program Chair)
The Entrepreneurship Division now invites paper and symposium proposals for the 2022 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, August 5th-9th 2022. This annual meeting will be the first of its kind, where both in-person and virtual engagement will simultaneously be used to encourage participation and involvement. Proposals should fit the domain of the Entrepreneurship Division, which includes not only the phenomena of self-employment, new-venture formation and financing, small-business management, family business, innovation, and firm growth, but also more general ideas about the recognition, analysis, and exploitation of perceived entrepreneurial opportunities. Additionally, the nature of novelty, creativity, and innovativeness among individuals and organizations, and how people and groups exercise judgment under uncertainty and in a variety of enterprising contexts, will be considered.
This year's conference theme is "Creating a Better World Together.” Organizations and the world’s social structures have been vastly challenged by the COVID-19 global pandemic and the broad social unrest of the last couple of years. Organizational leaders have demonstrated how rapid and innovative strides can be made to address world problems at a pace and scale that few would have predicted. As members of the Entrepreneurship Division we are in a privileged position to produce both rigorous and practically relevant research to address these global challenges. Thus, we invite members of the Entrepreneurship Division to offer further insight and join in the discussions around this critical theme, though proposals on any topic related to entrepreneurship are welcome.
Paper and symposium proposals are due Tuesday, 11 January 2022 at 5:00 PM EST (NY Time). Submission guidelines and instructions can be found at the following website address:
