The Department of Management in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (located in Morgantown, WV) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position starting in August 2023. This is a non-tenure track, full-time faculty member position in the Management Department that will involve teaching courses in different areas of management – entrepreneurship, human resource management, organizational behavior, international business, and strategy. The assignment of courses will be based on the teaching needs of the department and the qualifications/experience of the selected candidate. Candidates from all fields in management are encouraged to apply. Salary and benefits are appropriate for experience and qualifications. The position and start date are subject to budget approval. The teaching load will be three courses each semester (or six courses for the year). These courses would be across undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, or hybrid) and might involve new course development.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold at the time of appointment a Ph.D. in business management or related fields such as industrial/organizational psychology, entrepreneurship, economics, and other disciplines that involve significant coursework and research relevant for management. PhD candidates in advanced stages of their dissertation will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a willingness and ability to teach different types of courses in the department. West Virginia University (and The John Chambers College of Business and Economics) is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the excellence of the academic community.
