The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Strategic Management at the assistant level, beginning Fall 2024. Review of applications begins immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
Candidates are sought who can significantly contribute to the research, teaching, and service missions of the department and college. The standard teaching load in the college for research-active faculty is 2/2. The department seeks to minimize course preps for assistant professors, as well as other research-active faculty. Further, this professor will be expected to conduct high-quality scholarly work to include (but not necessarily limited to) peer-reviewed research resulting in publications in the leading journals of his/her field. The department will annually provide competitive funding and the college offers summer funding opportunities and research grants to support research. Potentially viable candidates will be expected to contribute to department and college in service capacities. However, the department seeks to shield assistant professors from heavy service demands. Overall, the ideal candidate would be a well-rounded academic who shows potential to be a highly effective teacher, an internationally recognized scholar, and a valued and collegial contributor in the institutional service arena.
Qualified individuals (see minimum and desired qualifications below) should complete the on-line application and upload the following: cover letter, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., a portfolio of recent teaching evaluations), and contact information for three work-related references. Position-related questions can be directed to the search committee chair Dr. Jeffrey Covin (jcovin@uwyo.edu).
