    We are looking for an outstanding academic to join the Strategy Group and contribute to its reputation for excellent research, teaching and engagement.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Sustainability and Strategy who can contribute to our teaching and research on the implications of sustainability and/or climate change for management and organisations. This is an opportunity to join a strong academic group with a track record of publishing in the field's very best journals and delivering excellent teaching. You would be joining a triple-accredited Business School in one of the world's top 25 universities.

    The Strategy Group studies contemporary issues of societal and organisational importance at the local, national, and global levels. Members of the group draw on a wide range of social science theories and empirical contexts. The group possesses research expertise across public, private, and third sector organisations with knowledge production organised around five distinct themes:

    1. Strategic Change and Leadership
    2. Organisations and society
    3. Global/International Strategy
    4. Services Management
    5. Creative Industries

    The Group is highly collegial and comprises the following academics: Samer Abdelnour, Kenneth Amaeshi, John Amis, Katherine Aulton, Chris Carr, Chris Carter, Tie Cui, Corentin Curchod, Giovanni Formilan, Royston Greenwood (Fractional appointment), Candace Jones, Ron Kerr, Marc Krautzberger, Winston Kwon, Ling Liu, Nkosana Mafico, Stephen Osborne, Xiaobai Shen, Ferran Vendrell-Herrero, Andrea Wessendorf & Rick Woodward. Members of the Group publish in, edit, and serve as editorial board members of some of the field's leading journals including Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Business History, Human Relations, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Organizational Research Methods and Public Administration Review. 

    Your skills and attributes for success:

    • Good understanding of the management and organizational implications of sustainability and/or climate change in the context of public, private, and non-profit organisations;
    • A collegial and collaborative colleague committed to academic teaching and research;
    • A track record or potential for publishing in leading journals and to impact on policy/practice;
    • Ability to work to and to meet academic deadlines.
