The ENT Division is seeking nominations - including self-nominations - to serve as co-chair of the 2024 (Chicago) and then chair for the 2025 (Copenhagen) AOM Doctoral Consortium. This is traditionally a two-year role, where year one overlaps with the incumbent Chair (Will Drover, TCU) in 2024, while year two will be alongside the 2024 elected Chair. Ideally, the co-chairs are, in a broad sense, a diverse pair.
The Co-chairs of the Entrepreneurship (ENT) Division's Doctoral Consortium oversee a series of responsibilities aimed at effectively organizing the consortium. The process begins in Winter. Broadly, the activities include:
- Defining important deadlines and program dates,
- Preparing and delivering a report for AOM's Executive Mid-Winter meeting on consortia development and progress
- Designing the application call, advertising it through various channels, and selecting/notifying participants.
Once the participant names and count are confirmed, the Chairs:
- Craft the consortium program, and coordinate scholarships.
- Select mentors and speakers, assist with social events and catering
- Prepare materials for the consortium itself and oversee all communication and logistics related to the event
- Facilitate the selection of a new PhD representative, concluding the event with a summary for dissemination.
Prospective Co-Chairs should be diligent and motivated to provide a first-rate doctoral consortium experience.
If interested, please submit your nomination to rachida.justo@ie.edu by December 22nd, 2023.
