    The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State seeks an outstanding faculty member, who brings a strong record of professional experience, for the Bellisario Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

    The appointment will begin in Fall 2024, in the Bellisario College's Department of Telecommunications and Media Industries.

    Experience: The successful candidate will possess extensive experience and a reputation for entrepreneurship and innovation in the media, telecommunications, information, advertising/strategic communications, or Internet industries. The candidate will have a high-level entrepreneurship record spanning a decade or more, including leadership, product development, and fundraising for business start-ups, new product launches, and innovations.

    The candidate will be able to strengthen partnerships between professionals and academics; will be able to guide student innovation teams, teaching and inspiring them to excel while adhering to the highest ethical standards; and will be firmly committed to preparing future generations of media entrepreneurs for the challenges in this rapidly changing industry. Teaching experience preferred.

    This position is a full-time, non-tenure-line academic appointment funded for five years, with a strong possibility of renewal based on performance.

    The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications is the largest nationally accredited undergraduate program in the country.  More Bellisario students than in any other Penn State major take on further study in entrepreneurship.  The College is home to four departments: Advertising/Public Relations; Film/Video and Media Studies; Journalism; and Telecommunications and Media Industries.  Courses are offered both in-residence and online.
