    McGehee Eminent Scholar Chair in Entrepreneurship, Professor

    Position Description

    Louisiana Tech University seeks an innovative, research-focused, and student-centered collaborative leader to serve as the McGehee Eminent Scholar Chair starting September 1, 2024. Successful candidates are expected to enhance the research status of the College of Business, provide leadership within the undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs, and support entrepreneurial initiatives in the College, across the University, and in the region as a means of developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Eminent Scholar will also provide general guidance to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology. As a way of ensuring these broad entrepreneurship goals are met, the chairperson will report to and work in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Business in meeting the College's strategic goals as it pertains to Entrepreneurship.

    Required Qualifications

    ·         An earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited College of Business program

    ·         A well-established research agenda in Entrepreneurship with ongoing projects targeting top-tier journals

    ·         Evidence of strong teaching and mentorship in Entrepreneurship at the undergraduate- and graduate-levels

    ·         Willingness to work with students, faculty, and business professionals in the region in order to further promote and grow the Entrepreneurship programs

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·         Start-up experience, particularly in technology/intellectual property-driven enterprises

    ·         Willingness to collaborate on grant writing is a plus
