Dear ENT Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to an online event organised by the Social Issues in Management (SIM) division of the Academy of Management on May 15th at 1730-1900 BST (1830-2000 CEST; 2200-2330 IST; 1230-1400 EDT; 0930-1100 PDT). The event tackles the subject of navigating the academic job market and is designed to help junior scholars in the broad field of social issues in management (e.g., business ethics, CSR, environment, governance, society, sustainability, etc.) to listen to experiences from recruiters and recruited candidates from different parts of the world.
We have invited a panel of scholars from Recruiting Committees (Susana Esper (IESEG, France), Akwasi Opoku-Dakwa (Duquesne, USA), & Jason Pattit (St Thomas, USA)), and a panel of recently recruited candidates (Moritz Gruban (Royal Holloway, UK), Leandro Nardi (HEC Paris, France), & Natasha Overmeyer (Oregon, USA)) to discuss their experiences, share tips and tricks and answer your questions, for instance, on teaching load, research support, or academic culture in the respective institutes. The panel discussion will be moderated by Frank de Bakker (IESEG School of Management, France) & Sebastian Hafenbrädl (IESE, Spain).
It is a chance to explore and understand the academic climate around the world by talking to scholars who have been involved in the recruitment process, from different sides of the table and in different regions of the world.
