The Department of Management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech is seeking applications for a tenure-track full professor position in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources. We are interested in candidates who are full or senior associate professors (qualified for full). Our ideal candidate will have very strong research and mentoring (Ph.D. student and junior faculty) credentials. The potential for an endowed professorship exists.
This is a really great job at an amazing place! We have a great group of people committed to quality scholarship and fantastic resources. We are looking for a scholar who is excited about helping us continue to enhance our research identity.
Compensation is highly competitive.
Location: Blacksburg, VA is a wonderful city in a beautiful area - located on the plateau between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains in the heart of Virginia's New River Valley and 35 minutes from Roanoke. Blacksburg is regularly ranked among the best places to live.
Resources: Pamplin's new advancement model has paved the way for the development of the Global Business and Analytics Complex, a four-building complex (under construction). New investments in faculty have increased the capacity to generate elite academic research. The university is also dramatically expanding its presence in the Greater Washington D.C. Metro Area with the creation of the Innovation Campus, a $1 billion joint investment by Virginia Tech and the Commonwealth that contributed to Amazon's decision to build its second headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Therefore, the Pamplin College of Business and its faculty enjoy rich research resource support and a strong foundation for future growth.
We strongly encourage women and underrepresented minority candidates to apply.
