The Entrepreneurship in the Population (EPOP) Survey project has completed the second wave of data collection and the EPOP:2023 data are now publicly available. NORC at the University of Chicago (NORC) is developing and conducting the EPOP Survey Project with grant funding and guidance from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

There are multiple ways to access the EPOP:2023 and learn about the latest results:

Some other exciting announcements about EPOP include:

    • è For EPOP:2022 data, Small Area Estimates (SAE) are now posted on the website.  These estimates provide more precise information on entrepreneurial activities for small levels of geography than direct survey data alone.
    • è NORC completed an EPOP study specifically for the state of Indiana in 2022-23.  EPOP-IN research briefs and public use files (PUFs) are also accessible on the website.

è If you are interested in more precise entrepreneurship status estimation to support specific research needs or conducting a customized survey tailored to different entrepreneurship research objectives, let us know by reaching out to our team at EPOPresearch@norc.org.

Please share your research.  If you have been using EPOP data or have plans to do so in the future, we would love to amplify your research using EPOP data on the study's publication page!

    Thank you!
