The International Management (IM) Division cordially invites current PhD students interested in multinational strategy, international innovation and entrepreneurship, migration, cross-national stakeholder management, and other themes in international business to participate in the Doctoral Student Consortium (DSC) at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management.
This in-person event, taking place on Sunday, August 6, offers an exceptional opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and career development.
As an added benefit, the IM Division is pleased to offer a stipend to cover the AoM conference registration fee for each PhD student admitted to the DSC. However, spaces are limited, so we encourage you to apply early.
The application deadline is June 10.
Why Participate? The DSC is tailored for PhD students at all stages of their program. A concentration in international business is not necessary. The event will provide a stimulating environment to engage with an impressive lineup of panelists and receive valuable feedback on your research, gain insights into job opportunities, discuss early-stage career strategies, and foster meaningful connections. Additionally, participants will be invited to a special "Meet-the-Editors" session later in the day.
How to apply? Please submit your application materials through our online form by June 10, 2023. Your application should consist of a single PDF file that includes the following materials:
- A 1-page nomination letter from your advisor/chair. This letter can be emailed separately to the co-chairs.
- A description of your dissertation idea, encompassing your research question, relevant literature, and research design (Maximum 3 pages).
- Curriculum Vitae (Maximum 2 pages).
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out to the DSC Co-Chairs, Stephanie Wang (slwang@indiana.edu) or Luis Ballesteros (luis@bu.edu).
All applicants will be notified of their admission to the DSC by July 1, 2023.
Don't miss out on this unparalleled opportunity to enhance your research and academic career. Apply now and join us at the IM Division Doctoral Student Consortium in 2023!
