The previous version of this message neglected to include Veronique Ambrosini from Monash University as the AMP AE on the special issue team. Apologies for clogging up your mailbox.

We are now in the sprint towards the submission window (December 1st-15th, 2023) of our Special Issue at Academy of Management Perspectives on Exceptionalism and Outliers (https://aom.org/events/event-detail/2023/12/01/higher-logic-calendar/amp-call-for-special-issue-papers-exceptionalism-and-outliers).

We are open to papers catering to either or both of AMPs old or new missions, and on any topic (e.g., IB, Strategy, OB, ENT, etc.). We encourage scholars across domains to consider how an structured exceptionalism perspective could facilitate new questions and research and practice implications.

To help spark and inspire interest in the SI we have published a new paper in Journal of Business Venturing Insights that explains the potential contribution and best practices of Exceptionalism and Outlier research specifically in an Entrepreneurship context (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352673423000513?dgcid=author). Again, we are open to any subject for YOUR exceptionalism paper, but in the above article we focus on one context to facilitate dialogue.

    Our editorial team is:
