2024 Chair-Elect, Entrepreneurship Division
The Emerging Scholars Award is part of an overall strategic initiative by the Entrepreneurship (ENT) Division of the Academy of Management (AOM) to encourage, reward, and provide support for outstanding emerging research scholars within the Entrepreneurship Division. The impetus for this initiative was to recognize research excellence among junior scholars within our membership, as well as the importance of research within the ENT Division as a whole.
The Emerging Scholars Award provides recognition and visibility, and can offer models of research excellence for others within our field. This recognition is communicated throughout AOM, and through the Entrepreneurship NewsBlast, AOM Connect, and links to personal webpages and Division publications. Each year the Division may present up to three Emerging Scholars Awards to deserving individuals.
The award winners should demonstrate an emerging record of scholarship that has the potential to make innovative and impactful contributions to the body of entrepreneurship research.
Eligible candidates must have received a Ph.D. (or equivalent doctoral degree) between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2023 and must be members of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management.
Applications may consist of self-nominations or nominations from others in the field. For full consideration, applications must include:
1) A research statement (no longer than two single spaced pages) demonstrating how the applicant's previous work, work in progress, and future research goals have the potential to make significant contributions to entrepreneurship scholarship;
2) A current curriculum vitae.
Applications must be received by January 31, 2024. For more information, please contact Rachida Justo, Chair-Elect, Entrepreneurship Division at rachida.justo@ie.edu.
