    The Department of Business Administration in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a Assistant Professor of Management (Continuing Track) starting September 1, 2024. Candidates must have or anticipate completing a Ph.D. within the broad domain of Management before the position's starting date. Preference is given to individuals with a record of successful teaching and research experience in strategic management.

    The Continuing Track (CT) is the University of Delaware's full-time, continuing faculty line. CT faculty enjoy contracts that increase in length over time and, like tenure-track faculty, receive full and generous benefits, including family-friendly benefits, as part of their compensation package. CT faculty with terminal degrees hold professorial rank and have a path to promotion up to full professor. All CT faculty earn sabbaticals, have opportunities to pursue research, participate in shared governance, and hold academic leadership positions.


    Teaching responsibilities are primarily our undergraduate strategic management course with the potential for future opportunities in strategic leadership, organizational change, organizational ethics, project management, and/or professional consulting at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This Continuing Track position is mainly instructional. It typically involves teaching six courses per year, most with an average class size of 35 or 40 students.
    Research responsibilities include maintaining a publication record that is commensurate with AACSB standards by publishing in recognized refereed journals. Service responsibilities involve engaging in activities to support our Department, College, and University.
