The University of Oklahoma, Michael F. Price College of Business, Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development, is pleased to announce that applications and nominations are being accepted for a Professor of Entrepreneurship position beginning fall of 2024. Applicants will be considered for appointment at the Assistant or Associate rank based on achievements and experience. Endowed professorships may be available for highly qualified candidates at the Associate rank. The intent is to identify high-caliber scholars in entrepreneurship who wish to build and grow entrepreneurship in a collegial and supportive environment.
Entrepreneurship is a top priority of the University of Oklahoma and the Price College of Business. In the strategic plans for both the University and Price College, entrepreneurship is specifically highlighted and will continue to play a pivotal role. This commitment is demonstrated by an academic department - the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development - that offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level degree programs in entrepreneurship. Both our undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs have consistently ranked among the leading programs in the United States. Our faculty are highly research active and publish regularly in leading entrepreneurship and management journals. Faculty members are dedicated to a culture of excellence in pursuit of a vision to be a leading voice in the field of entrepreneurship.
Candidates must have a PhD in entrepreneurship, management, or a closely related field, or be a PhD student nearing degree completion in one of those areas. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate significant accomplishments in both teaching and research in entrepreneurship. Evidence of the scholarly contributions or the potential to produce contributions to advance understanding of entrepreneurship phenomena is required. Applicants must also be committed to excellence in teaching, to collegiality, and to fulfilling the mission of the Price College (https://www.ou.edu/price). Candidates for Associate Professor should have a broadly recognized research record and related qualifications for tenure at the Associate Professor level at the University of Oklahoma.
This position offers a highly competitive salary along with research and travel support. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, with various formats, including online and/or in person. While undergraduate courses are offered on the main campus in Norman, graduate courses are typically delivered at the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business in the heart of Oklahoma City at OU's University Research Park on the Health Sciences Center campus (https://www.ou.edu/price/mba).
