    Dear Colleagues,

    We cordially invite you to the 18th Annual Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC), hosted by Oregon State University, to be held in Portland, Oregon. Established in 2005, FERC is dedicated to developing a community of global scholars interested in conducting research to further our understanding of family enterprises and creating usable knowledge in this field.

    18th Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC) will be held on May 30 – June 1, 2024
    in Portland, Oregon, USA
    Ted A. Paterson (ted.paterson@oregonstate.edu).

    It will be hosted by Ted A. Paterson (ted.paterson@oregonstate.edu) at Oregon State University.

    THREE types of submissions are invited for FERC 2024:

    (1)  Poster Session Papers – a highly popular FERC staple!

    (2)  Paper Development Workshop – full-length papers submitted to the conference will also be considered for inclusion in the Paper Development Workshop.

    (3)  Doctoral Students & Junior Faculty Research Seminar – this exclusive seminar will include a paper development workshop and four, 90-minute research seminars lead by well-renowned scholars. A maximum of 12 individuals will be accepted.

    Awards for best posters in the following categories – doctoral student paper, qualitative paper, quantitative paper, and theoretical paper.


    Submissions Open: January 2, 2024 

    Submissions Close: February 23, 2024 

    Notification of Acceptance: March 29, 2024
