Heuristics and cognitive biases are a core focus of research on strategic decision making. Yet, fundamental questions regarding them remain unanswered. Are heuristics and biases always irrational, or can they also (sometimes) be interpreted as rational? How do the effects of heuristics and biases differ across contexts? What new methods are there to capture heuristics and biases?
This PDW aims to bring together scholars interested in the heuristics and cognitive biases of strategic decision makers to stimulate productive research discussions around this topic and to build a roadmap for future research. It also aims to generate a conversation across disciplines and to build a solid network, which can be used to exchange knowledge beyond this workshop.
