A Free University/College Pitch Competition for Student Startups
Do you know any college students who are working to create their own startups? If so, I request you to please forward this to any student teams that you think can benefit from the experience. Please visit for more information about the program at: TiEDC University Program
TiE DC is pleased to announce the second TiE DC University PitchFest for college/university students across Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia (DC, MD and VA- Also teams from PA, DE and WV are welcome)). This is a FREE competition for students. Three teams will win cash prizes for participating and winning: 1st Prize $5,000, 2nd Prize $3,000, and 3rd Prize $2,000. A special prize ($2,500) is being sponsored to focus on doing business with Governmental agencies in the USA (Local/State/Federal). Last year, in the inaugural competition, we had 104 Students (44 teams) participating from 17 Universities and not only three teams won cash prizes additionally 6 teams received grants to develop their business ideas.
The pitch competition offers:
· Mentoring and coaching from the network of TiE DC and other successful entrepreneurs
· Access to capital from investors and network of TiEDC as well as TiE Global
· The TiE DC winner will participate in the TiE Global competition
· Pitch submission Deadline: January 31, 2022
· PitchFest will be held on March 26, 2022 (Saturday from 3 to 5 pm EST - in person)
· Open to Current students from Colleges/Universities & recent graduates from 2020 and 2021
