The Leading People and Organizations area of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University (New York City) invites applications for one Clinical Assistant Professor position in the field of Entrepreneurship/Social Entrepreneurship, starting July 1, 2022. The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University operates in the Jesuit tradition, in which high quality education is viewed as a path to leadership and service, and a call to human excellence. Students learn each subject's implications for what it means to be a human being and what we may contribute to the future well-being of the world.
Qualifications
For this position, we are seeking candidates who have a related Ph.D. and are committed to maintaining and building a globally leading socially conscious entrepreneurship program out of New York City. The candidate ideally has connections in the field of social innovation and environmental sustainability, and the New York entrepreneurial and start up field. The candidate should be and is driven to build an intellectually stimulating program for empowered leaders with global reach.
The ideal candidate should have real world expertise in social innovation and entrepreneurship with a specific focus or connectivity to the broader fields of leadership, diversity, innovation and sustainability. Candidates should demonstrate a track record for high quality interactive and immersive entrepreneurship education, driving innovation through research, institution building and hold a Ph.D (or terminal degree). They should be willing to lead and build the entrepreneurial program at undergraduate and graduate levels and support the Leading People and Organizations area in related activities.

The Leading People and Organizations area is a newly formed group that includes John Hollwitz, Ying Hong, Robert Hurley, Michael Pirson, Esther Solomon, James Stoner (emeritus) and Sophia Town. The entrepreneurship and social innovation leaders at Fordham include Al Bartosic, Milton Sussberg at the Fordham foundry, Sadibou Sylla at the Social Innovation Collaboratory, Lerzan Aksoy and Sertan Kabadayi at the Responsible Business Coalition, and UN PRME champion leaders. We are advised by a prominent board of thought and action leaders in the field of leadership, innovation and sustainability.
Moreover, as our student body becomes increasingly diverse, we strive to attract diverse, talented teacher-scholars committed to inclusive pedagogical practice that engages and affirms all of our students. The successful candidate will demonstrate promise in making a significant teaching, program development and research to the field, and is expected to teach Introductions to Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Global Sustainable Innovation, Sustainable Business, Creativity and Innovation as well as Principles of Management and Leadership courses.
Additionally, they are expected to closely collaborate with the Social Innovation Collaboratory, The Foundry and the Responsible Business Coalition to develop and implement co-curricular programs for Gabelli students aspiring to become social entrepreneurs.
