    Dear ENT division members,

ComplianceNet 2022 will be hosted by the University of Amsterdam School of Law. It will take place 6-8 July 2022 in Amsterdam (and if necessary also in hybrid format). We are currently accepting panel or paper submissions, with a deadline of February 7, 2022.

ComplianceNet seeks to bring together scholars from a range of different disciplines to study the interaction between rules (broadly defined) and individual, group, or organizational behavior. The first four meetings have been highly successful bringing together academics from business, criminology, economics, law, political science, psychology and sociology, among other fields. See the www.compliancenet.org for more details about its structure and goals.

The conference fee is set at 120 euros. This is to pay for food and drinks (light breakfast snacks, tea and coffee, lunch and two receptions with snacks) during the conference. The conference organizers will not provide or organize housing and accommodation, but we will provide some general information by email to registered participants.

Organized for July 6-8, 2022, ComplianceNet 2022 is timed to take place immediately before the Law and Society Association's international meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, hosted by the ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon. Scholars interested in attending ComplianceNet may find they also want to attend the LSA meeting and vice versa. There are easy flights from Amsterdam to Lisbon.

You can submit either individual papers, or panel proposals. We will select papers and panels that specifically discuss theoretical and/or empirical aspects about compliance, as defined as the interaction between rules (broadly defined) and individual, group, or organizational behavior. If your paper is not accepted and because of this you choose not to participate, we can arrange a refund (excluding VAT and Eventbrite Service Fee).

To register, please follow this link, which will take you to the Eventbrite website. Press the Tickets button there and then select one of the options, as explained below.

We have the following options for registering for the conference:

    -        Individual papers, please select "Single Paper Proposal" option and submit the paper title and abstract (up to about 200 words).

    -        Panels (3 papers minimum with a maximum of 5 per panel), please select the "Panel Proposal" option and you will be asked to submit an integrative statement explaining the panel (approximately 200 words), the titles of each paper and their authors, and an abstract for each paper (approximately 200 words). Each panel organiser must arrange that panelists (other than the panel submitter) register their papers individually once the panel has been approved (using the "Papers within panel proposal" option).

    -        Papers within a Panel, please select the "Papers within a panel" option and submit the paper title and abstract (up to about 200 words).

    -        If you would like to attend, but do not want to present a paper or a panel, please choose the "Attendance Without Presenting" option.  You may select this option up until April 30, 2020.

All eligible participants will be able to put themselves forward for the Best Paper Award by a Junior Scholar and the Best Paper Award by a Senior Scholar.  Information on how to do this will follow soon after this email.  We will also be giving out a Lifetime Achievement Award for seminal contributions to the study of compliance.

We aim to notify prospective participants of panel/paper decisions by March 30, 2022.  We look forward to seeing you at ComplianceNet 2022!

    Best regards,

Benjamin Van Rooij, Yuval Feldman, Adam Fine, J.S. Nelson, Melissa Rorie and Colin Provost
