Gender and Counterstereotypical Facial Expressions of Emotion in Crowdfunded Microlending
Provided evidence that entrepreneurs' gender-counterstereotypical facial expressions of emotion increase microlending performance. Displays of happiness and sadness in an entrepreneur's microloan appeal photograph are particularly beneficial for men, whereas displays of anger and disgust are beneficial for women.
