Call for Nominations: 2018 Entrepreneurship Practice Award
    [ Deadline: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 ]

Nominations are being accepted for the 2018 Entrepreneurship Practice Award, sponsored by the Small Giants Community. This award recognizes high-publications that contribute knowledge directly relevant to the practice of entrepreneurship, and is a compliment to the current set of awards offered by the Entrepreneurship Division.

    Award Criteria

The Award will be granted to individuals who have authored a publication (for example, a published book or article) deemed to have been especially effective at advancing the practice of entrepreneurship, and are members of the Academy of Management (AOM). Where there are multiple authors at least one must be a member of AOM. The criteria include, but are not be limited to, the quality of journal, evidence of impact on publications (including citations in both scholarly and main stream publications and media), impact on the legislative process (local or federal), and influence on entrepreneurship practice in the field.

    How to Nominate a Publication:

Send an email to the chair of the Entrepreneur Division's Practitioner-Scholar Committee, John Mueller (jmuelle1@stedwards.edu) by Tuesday, May 15th, 2018.

The nomination should be contained in a PDF or MS Doc file and include the following information:
    1. The name of the publication nominated and author(s) of the publication, along with source details (e.g., journal or publisher name) as appropriate. Digital access to the publication is important for review purposes.
    2. An explanation of why/how the publication fulfills the award criteria (limited to 500 words maximum).
    3. The name & contact information of nominator(s).
    4. Self-nominations are acceptable, as are nominations from members of the AOM community – a nominee does not need to be a member of the ENT division, but should be a member of AOM.
    Award Process and Background

A special committee convened by the Chair of the Entrepreneur Practitioner-Scholar Committee of the Entrepreneurship Division will review all nominations and determine awards in accordance with the above criteria.  The committee will include people with expertise in both scholarship and practice.  Winners will be announced when the award is presented in August at the annual meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago.

Thank you for considering a submission for this award.
