Dear colleagues ,
On behalf of the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship to extend an invitation to the upcoming conference, scheduled for June 21, 2021, and organized by Professors Banu Ozkazanc-Pan and Jennifer Nazareno. The Entrepreneurship You Don't See: Bringing Visibility to New Majority Founders will be the second conference sponsored by Brown highlighting academic research in entrepreneurship.
The conference will be offered virtually to allow for global outreach and access and will examine entrepreneurship at the intersection of Women, Refugees, Immigrants, Allyship, and Anti-Black Racism. The Nelson Center will use this platform to give voice to emerging scholars and practitioners at the intersection of research and practice.
We are pleased to announce that the journal Gender Work and Organizations (GWO) will sponsor a special issue based on the conference theme. Authors wishing to submit to the special issue should first submit an extended abstract for feedback. The inaugural Emerging Scholar in Entrepreneurship award will be announced during the conference.
We welcome thought pieces and research publications for consideration. You may register for the conference as well as submit research for the special issue of GWO at the website (link above).
Please share this information with your colleagues and let us know if you have any questions.
best,
Banu
