In the past decades, we have witnessed the economic take-off of many developing economies. As technology and innovation are the critical drivers of an economy’s long-term economic growth, however, it is important for developing economies to transform their mode of economic development and focus more on technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The challenges encountered by organizations from developing economies include, but not limited to, catching up with the edge of technology, transforming new ideas into commercial products, and competing globally. This conference will focus on how entrepreneurs, organizations, and governments from developing economies can leverage their resources and capabilities to cope with those challenges.
The conference theme underscores both the opportunities and challenges that start-ups and
incumbents in developing economies face when seeking to foster innovation, commercialize innovation, and
pursue internationalization. We seek diverse ideas and knowledge that shed light on the conference theme.
We
welcome submissions from a variety of disciplines, including, but not limited to, management, economics,
marketing, international business, political science, and sociology. There is no registration fee for attending the
conference and the conference will provide accommodation for one author of each accepted paper.
