Dear Colleagues,
How would alternative AI trends affect the future of professions? COB Organizational Wisdom Studio's new track explores this question, with a human-centered approach. Following the well-established strategic scenario planning steps, a group of business professors at the Sacramento State University have analyzed two driving forces - AI automation (vs. augmentation) and AI regulation - to create a matrix to explore how organizations, professions, and employees would be affected the AI trends within the next 10 years.
In this episode, Dr. Joseph Taylor, an expert on business information systems, joins program co-hosts Ms. Elisabeth Nunziato and Dr. Hakan Ozcelik to present a strategic scenario, titled "Holes", illustrating how managerial professions, offices, and white-collar jobs might look like in the future if AI intensifies automation and if there is high regulation around AI.
The episodes in this new track are produced from the recordings of the COB Organizational Wisdom Studio's live workshop event recently organized at the Sacramento State University. In their own words, our participants have indicated that this event has been "a unique, eye-opening experience" where they have "have started viewing AI in a new way", and where "there wasn't really a moment where it felt uninteresting because the topics were so involved in the current world." You are welcome to share these episodes with others.
Wisdom Studio intends to serve as an impactful resource for employees, students and greater society in their efforts to enhance their health, happiness and performance.
