The Telfer School of Management invites applications for the Thivierge Chair in Canadian Business, an open rank tenure-track position in Strategy and Organization commencing on July 1, 2024, or earlier.
This Chair was generously created by the Honourable Paul G. Desmarais in honour of Father Edgar Thivierge, one of his professors at uOttawa. The Thivierge Chair is the most prestigious one at the Telfer School of Management and includes a generous compensation package and research funds.
Seeking to continue to strengthen our position in the global research landscape and help build a better Canada and world, the person we are seeking for this role will be a global thought leader with a proven track-record of publications and of training and attracting PhD students. More importantly, we are seeking a candidate with the vision and ability to play a leadership role across the faculty and university in developing a programmatic approach to research and the grand challenges of our time.
The Chair will receive approximately $100,000 per year from endowed funds for the Chairholder to use in pursuit of these objectives. The role description and application details are below.

Applications must contain: 1) a cover letter, 2) a curriculum vitae, 3) a brief research statement showing alignment of the research program with Telfer's vision, 4) a brief statement of teaching philosophy, 5) recent teaching evaluation reports, and 6) the names and contact information of three individuals who may be contacted for references.
