The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship starting Fall 2024.
The School of Business is AACSB accredited and has an enrollment of approximately 800 students. We currently offer undergraduate degrees in eight business majors including Entrepreneurship, a general MBA and an MBA in Public Accountancy. The School of Business is home to the Hudson Valley Venture Hub, NYSTAR's designated Innovation Hot Spot that serves the seven-county Mid-Hudson Region. The successful candidate will work closely with the Venture Hub staff to promote student engagement in Venture Hub programming and services.
The typical teaching load for pre-tenure faculty is three courses per semester. Faculty also participate in curriculum development and assessment and engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure. Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. in entrepreneurship, management or a closely related field; ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
Ability to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and management.
Preferred:
Experience working in entrepreneurial endeavors or working with entrepreneurs
