    The Department of Strategy and Innovation (SI) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is looking for tenure-track assistant professors in the following areas: Strategy, Innovation, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. Starting date around September 1, 2026.
    Copenhagen Business School has the status of an independent university and has more than 20,000 students and app. 450 full-time professors (assistant/associate/full). CBS is thus one of the largest business schools in Northern Europe, covering a wide range of business-related academic fields.
    The Department of Strategy and Innovation (SI) is one of 11 departments within CBS. The department has about 45 faculty members, currently including 20 professors, 15 associate professors, 10 assistant professors, in addition to about 15 postdocs and 15 PhD students. The department's research is focused on strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and international business. The department's research is generally cross-disciplinary with a strong element of quantitative methods. Faculty members have published in top academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Management Science, Journal of International Business Studies, and Research Policy, among others.  
    The vacant assistant professorship is a six-year tenure-track position with research and teaching obligations. Promotion to tenured associate professor is possible with satisfactory teaching and publication performance.
    Candidates should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD from an accredited institution. They should possess strong research potential in the areas listed above and have first-rate methodological skills. We expect relevant teaching experience and an interest in developing courses and study programs.
     
    The department will be interviewing:
     
    • Physically at the AoM Meeting in Copenhagen, July 25-28, 2025. 
    • On-line via Zoom, July 28- August 1, and August 7, 2025.

    The expression of interest must include a cover letter, your CV, and one sample research paper. In your cover letter, please indicate whether you would prefer a physical meeting during the AoM Meeting in Copenhagen or an online meeting. Expressions of interest are welcome no later than Friday, July 4th.
     
    The department will host campus visits by invitation in the fall of 2025. We will announce a formal call for job applications in August 2025.
