As AI systems increasingly shape decision environments, an important question is beginning to emerge: how do intelligent systems reshape the cognitive conditions under which judgement, opportunity evaluation and decision-making unfold?
This question is becoming increasingly visible across discussions on innovation, responsible AI and the future of human agency in technological systems.
To explore this emerging frontier, I will be organising a Special Session at WSAI 2026 under the theme:
Human-Centred AI Futures: Cognition, Agency and Decision-Making in Intelligent Systems.
The session is designed as an interdisciplinary forward-looking conversation, inviting scholars to reflect on how AI-augmented environments may reshape human decision capability and agency in future innovation systems.
