Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to our presenter symposium, "Firms' Strategic Engagement with Media: The Second Annual Symposium," at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.
This symposium examines how firms strategically engage with the evolving landscape of traditional and social media. Building on last year's symposium, we hope to develop an annual forum that brings together scholars interested in media to exchange ideas, discuss emerging research, and build connections.
The symposium features four working papers examining different aspects of organizational–media interactions. We are also honored to welcome two distinguished discussants who have contributed significantly to this field: James D. Westphal of the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and Ann Mooney Murphy of Stevens Institute of Technology.
