Full-time, Senior Assistant or Associate Level Tenure Track Positions
Entrepreneurship Division
Babson College
Applications are invited for full time senior Assistant or Associate level tenure-track positions in the Entrepreneurship Division at Babson College (http://www.babson.edu) beginning September 1, 2023. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a related discipline, show evidence of success in teaching entrepreneurship, and have an active research and publication track record primarily in entrepreneurship. The positions require the ability to teach in one or more of the areas of entrepreneurship, including general entrepreneurship, new venture feasibility, creation; and growth, as well as other specialty entrepreneurship courses. We seek applicants with a particular interest in entrepreneurial finance or gender, diversity and women's entrepreneurship, or environmental sustainability and social innovation. Priority will be given to those candidates who also have experience working in entrepreneurial endeavors (starting, owning, or running a venture, corporate venturing, social venturing, family business) or working with entrepreneurs (private equity, banking, policy, economic development). Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, and professional service within the College and community.
The Entrepreneurship Division is a community of collaborative and supportive colleagues who actively engage in cutting-edge research and innovative teaching. The Division comprises 20 full-time tenure/tenure track faculty members, 7 full-time professors of practice, and 9 adjunct instructors. Our faculty publish in top-tier entrepreneurship research journals (e.g. Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory, and Practice, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal), top practitioner outlets (e.g. Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review), top journals for educators (Academy of Management Learning and Education; Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy) as well as general management journals (Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies, and Academy of Management Journal). Our faculty are actively engaged as editors of top journals and serve in leadership roles in academic communities including assuming leadership roles at the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC), Academy of Management, USASBE, and other organizations.
Babson College is the home of numerous renowned entrepreneurship centers, institutes, and programs including the Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, the Babson Collaborative, the Diana International Research Institute, the Price/Babson SEE Program for Entrepreneurship Educators, and the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). We welcome candidates who are passionate and committed to entrepreneurship research and teaching, are willing to collaborate with faculty from other disciplines, exhibit intellectual curiosity, have a strong interest in curriculum innovation, can integrate the connection between entrepreneurship and other management disciplines, and provide a global perspective in their teaching and research. Applications also are invited from candidates with an educational background in other disciplines (i.e., economics, sociology, political science, international studies, and liberal arts) or business domains (i.e., marketing, management, operations, information technology, and finance) who can apply these interests to entrepreneurship.
