    FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

    The Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance is seeking applicants for tenure track Assistant Professor position in Finance starting Fall 2023,subject to final budget approval.

    The successful candidate will engage in high quality scholarly research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, mentor students (undergraduate, master's, Ph.D.), and share responsibility for committee and department assignments. Preference will be given to candidates specialized in entrepreneurial finance.

    This position is part of an interdisciplinary cluster of new faculty with expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation across Baruch's three schools (The Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, Weissman School of Arts and Science, and Zicklin School of Business). Faculty in this cluster will be expected to work collaboratively with one another and other faculty affiliated with the Field Center for Entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation cluster is expected to provide the critical mass of faculty needed to launch a planned Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a department that will cross traditional disciplinary boundaries and partner effectively with other CUNY campuses.

    NOTES:

    All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the tri-state area. Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen.     QUALIFICATIONS

    Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to conduct high quality scholarly research, ability to teach successfully and to cooperate with colleagues for the good of the institution.
