Greetings,
an ongoing issue for pitch competitions and related entrepreneurial support programs at my US-based university is the concern that any prize money or start-up grants are a zero-sum game, as they could negatively impact a student's US Federal Financial Aid package.
Given that this must be a common issue across the US, I am wondering if there are any standard cash granting practices that avoid any potential negative impacts on a US student's financial aid package? If you know of any, please send me the info and corresponding legal arguments.
Best Regards,
Erik
