Are you interested in qualitative research? AI? Join us at AoM in Chicago for a PDW on "Qualitative Research with ChatGPT and Other Large Language Models" (Session 782): https://lnkd.in/dBdEwmse When: Sunday August 11th, 12.00 – 15.00 Where: Swissotel, room Vevey 2 The next generation of AI tools can facilitate new and innovative forms of interpretive qualitative analyses. This session covers both the potential of these tools to support research and the perils they pose for both research ethics and practice. We propose that rather than outsourcing analytical steps to ChatGPT and its ilk, qualitative researchers may benefit the most from computational tools by approaching them as partners in abductive scientific exploration. The purpose of this PDW is to share emerging insights on the new research approaches and to form a community of qualitative scholars interested in developing new research methods around artificial intelligence to augment qualitative analysis. The session is organized by Henri Schildt and Stine Grodal. It includes presentations by Tim Hannigan, Dev (P. Devereaux) Jennings, Yusaku Takeda, and Nataliya Langburd Wright. No registration is required.
