The guest co-editor team of the upcoming special issue of Organizational Research Methods, entitled "Having A Way with Words: Innovations and Improvements in Text Analysis Methods" is pleased to announce that the submission window for manuscripts opens today and will remain open through August 31, 2024. The Call for Papers for this special issue is attached to this email and available on the Organizational Research Methods website at https://journals.sagepub.com/home/orm.
Broadly, we welcome submissions that aim to:
- Introduce and disseminate new and innovative text analysis techniques that have the potential to inform organizational research
- Help researchers understand the limitations of current text analytic approaches and address how these limitations can be addressed
- Take innovations in text analysis from other domains, adapt them for organizational research, and evaluate their promise and limitations for developing and testing management theory
- Consider how text analysis might be used by an interpretive researcher, not to turn text into numbers, but as an option to assist in the intensive work of qualitative data analysis
We look forward to receiving your submissions for this exciting special issue! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the guest co-editor team either via email or at the upcoming Academy of Management conference.
