Dear Colleagues: An interesting opportunity for Entrepreneurship Educators in Pakistan
Technical University Berlin and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) have joined hands with GIFT University, to promote an Entrepreneurial mindset in Pakistani youth. This two-year project is focused on faculty development in Pakistani Universities. Faculty members having an entrepreneurial mindset are different i.e. they are high in creativity, innovation, and are resourceful. They believe in creating one's own destiny " اپنی دنیا آپ پیدا کر اگر زندوں میں ھیں۔".
This series of high-energy workshops will be based on the learnings of German Entrepreneurs, local models of entrepreneurship (Memon, Chinioti, etc), and the Entrepreneurship Plus model (An award-winning model from USASBE, 2021) which was developed at IBA Karachi to train hundreds of students and faculty members throughout the country.
This two-day faculty development workshop aims to help faculty members learn and refresh their entrepreneurial mindset leading to micro and macro entrepreneurship opportunities in Pakistan. Local and International faculty members are invited to participate in this innovative program.
Key learnings from the workshop are:
• How to develop entrepreneurship educators relevant to the present-day context?
• How to transform our degree programs to be entrepreneurial?
• How to transform a university into an entrepreneurial University?
The VCs from Pakistani Universities are requested to nominate faculty members for this two-day activity at GIFT University, Gujranwala.
Date: 18 & 19 August 2023 (Friday and Saturday)
Venue: GIFT University Gujranwala
Cost: The workshop is free of cost for faculty. Workshop material and lunch/tea will be provided along with a certificate of participation.
The participants will have to arrange for their travel and accommodation.
