Title: The Power of Partnership: Collaborating for Research Success

What makes a research collaboration thrive over decades and produce a rich stream of impactful publications? In this candid seminar, Professors Kimberly Eddleston and Franz Kellermanns-long-time research partners with over 40 co-authored works, including 30 academic articles-share their insights into what makes a successful and fulfilling scholarly partnership. Drawing on their 25-year journey from meeting as PhD students at the University of Connecticut to becoming leading voices in their field, they will offer practical strategies for developing productive research relationships, working effectively across disciplines, and co-authoring with professionalism and purpose. The session will include tips on co-author etiquette, navigating intellectual differences, and knowing when (and how) to invite others onto a project. Eddleston and Kellermanns will share behind-the-scenes stories, the lessons learned from missteps, and the intentional practices that have helped them build a collaboration marked by trust, creativity, and scholarly impact.
