Dear Researchers,
We are excited to announce that the Humility Research Hub is entering its third year!
Our micro-community is dedicated to researching humility in organizational contexts. We warmly invite you to participate in our upcoming online Research Incubator, an initiative designed to support early-stage research efforts, particularly for doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career scholars. The incubator aims to foster the development of these projects into high-quality, publishable research.
Related topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Boundary conditions or non-linear effects of leader humility
- The crossover effect of humility from professional to personal spheres
-
Expressed humility in virtual settings
-
The differential effects of humility frequency versus intensity
- Antecedents of leader and coworker humility
- The role of humility in entrepreneurship and strategy
To enable those in other international time zones to participate, this incubator will be held online on the evening of Nov 4th (United States) at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time, which corresponds to the morning of Nov 5th (China).
This session will be facilitated by Brad Owens (Brigham Young University), Amy Y. Ou (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), David R. Hekman (University of Colorado Boulder), Michal Lehmann (Carnegie Mellon University), Thomas Kelemen (Texas Tech University), Jia (Jasmine) Hu (Tsinghua University), and Michael Matthews (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley).
We invite you to contribute to this symposium by submitting a 250-word abstract encapsulating your current work (theory, research findings, or case studies) related to the themes mentioned above or the general topic of humility in organizations and management.
Submission Details:
Abstract Length: 250 words
Deadline: Oct 24th, 2025
