Are you studying, or interested in, how emotion can shape aspects of the strategy, innovation or entrepreneurship process? If you answered yes, you should attend our PDW at AOM 2024 in Chicago! We still have a small number of places available on our panellist roundtables – if you wish to gain expert feedback on a paper or idea, please apply!

    📆 Friday 9th August 2024
    0800-1100
    📍Mayfair in Sheraton
🗣️Mark Healey, Gerard Hodgkinson, Timo Vuori, Feng Liu, Paul Momtaz, Jean-François Harvey

Building on last year's successful PDW, we convene an expert panel who have studied and published on emotion in strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship in leading journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies, Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Organizational Behavior. During this PDW, panellists will discuss their experiences, outlining the various theoretical and methodological options that scholars have at their disposal.

Part 1: Panellists will discuss their experiences using approaches such as appraisal theory and the affective circumplex model, as well as methods including coding facial expressions using artificial intelligence, micro-ethnography, and surveys.

Part 2: Each panellist will host a roundtable, in which you can gain in-depth, one-to-one feedback on a paper/idea. You will also receive feedback from other members of your roundtable, who will be studying similar phenomenon.

Part 1 is open to all, however Part 2 requires registration.

‼️ To register for Part 2 please send one document containing the following information to christopher.golding@manchester.ac.uk before Tuesday 23rd July:
    - Cover statement (who you are, institution, role)
    - Extended abstract/research proposal (max. 2 pages, A4)
    - The one big question that you want help with/feedback on (max. 250 words)
