As entrepreneurship education continues to evolve, we face unique challenges in a) staying on top of rapidly changing knowledge and content; b) staffing entrepreneurship courses as demand grows; and c) ensuring quality, rigor, and substance in these courses. These challenges are magnified as entrepreneurship education spreads beyond the business school to embrace entire campuses.
Many of those assigned to teach classes lack exposure to best practices in entrepreneurship education. Some know little of the core content of a course, or are unfamiliar with key principles, tools and frameworks. Others are less familiar with the use of cases, business plans, simulations, field projects and related experiential teaching tools. Still others are uncertain in terms of how to build a curriculum or comprehensive entrepreneurship program. A number are striving to stay on top of new developments and approaches.
To address these needs, twenty-six years ago we created The Experiential Classroom, a rigorous clinic to help faculty who are newer to entrepreneurship. Our first twenty-five offerings received outstanding reviews (let us know if you would like to talk to previous delegates). The clinic lasts three days, and is delivered by some of the top educators in the world. It is content rich, and introduces a number of highly effective, state-of-the-art teaching approaches.
The Experiential Classroom XXVI will be offered at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida from September 17-20, 2026. It is hosted by FSU, Notre Dame, the University of Tampa, and the University of Florida. If you have a current faculty member who wants to get updated on latest practices or is re-tooling to teach entrepreneurship, a new faculty member, a center director, or an entrepreneur/adjunct new to teaching, please encourage them to apply. Enrollment is limited to 80 delegates. While we've kept the tuition at $1800 per delegate for many years, we have a limited number of partial scholarships funded by the United States Association for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (USASBE). They are awarded on a need and first-come, first-served basis. Given the size, the Clinic fills quickly.
