The Entrepreneurship in the Population (EPOP) Survey project, conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago with support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has completed its third wave of data collection. The new EPOP:2025 data are now publicly available along with public data from EPOP:2022, EPOP:2023 and EPOP:2024.

Other exciting announcements about EPOP include:
è NORC's latest Research Brief on EPOP:2025 data highlights key trends since the survey's launch in 2022, including a continued decline in individuals considering new business ventures and a steady increase in former business owners.
è New Microbusinesses Owner questions were added to both the EPOP:2024 and EPOP:2025 questionnaires regarding business support services, financing needs beyond startup, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like generative AI. This data is included in the both data sets within the Public Use files (questions were funded by the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO)).
è EPOP:2026 will include a longitudinal component to support the research community's interest in understanding trajectories into and out of entrepreneurship.
