We are honored to welcome Professor Saras Sarasvathy, originator of the groundbreaking Effectuation theory, as our next speaker in the ENT Teaching Committee's ongoing speaker series.
Session Overview: The CAVE Framework for teaching effectuation and the entrepreneurial method
Professor Sarasvathy will begin with an introduction to Effectuation and the research that underpins it. She will then dive into two of her recent publications:
πΉ "Lean hypotheses and effectual commitments: An integrative framework delineating the methods of science and entrepreneurship" (Journal of Management)
- A framework for selecting and applying entrepreneurship tools, including Effectuation.
πΉ "Nationwide entrepreneurship content in secondary schools: Impact on entrepreneurial careers" (Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal).
- A policy-relevant study exploring Denmark's nationwide rollout of entrepreneurship education, and what it means for educators and policymakers globally.
π‘ This session will blend research, pedagogy, and practice-highlighting the why and how of teaching entrepreneurship today.
