The Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers is accepting letters of interest from entrepreneurship centers at domestic and international universities who are interested in hosting the annual conference in October 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity to:
· Bring hundreds of delegates to YOUR campus.
· Showcase your center and show the world what you are doing to support entrepreneurship education.
· Brand your center with the GCEC to increase reputation and awareness.
· Place your center and your campus at the forefront of entrepreneurship education around the world.
If you are interested in hosting, submit a two-to-four-page letter of interest to Site Selection Committee Chairman Michael Morris (mmorri24@nd.edu) and GCEC Executive Director Holly DeArmond (holly.dearmond@rice.edu) by March 10, 2023. Letters of interest should include the following:
· Why your school would be an excellent host for the GCEC conference
· Why you believe the conference would be of value to your institution
· Creative dimensions you envision including in your host experience
· How you would differentiate your university from other candidates
· Who will serve as campus Champion for the conference
Hosting the GCEC annual conference can be a game changer for centers and programs. Below are impact statements from two recent hosts:
"Being chosen to host was viewed as a big honor, and people like to be identified with a win. It was also a great talking point in the community, whether to bring in sponsors, or to point to how our Center focuses on showcasing entrepreneurs in our city."
Wendy Bolger, Founding Director
Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Loyola University Maryland
2021 GCEC Conference Co-host
"DePaul University and Illinois Tech hosted GCEC in 2018 and it was attended by over 600 participants from all over the world. As a host school, it provided DePaul and the Coleman Center with life-long contacts in entrepreneurship education and best practices in running a Center. Hosting this Conference continues to have a profound impact on all of our programs 5 years later!"
