Dear Professors and PhD Students,
My name is Daniel Clark, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, and I am writing to you on behalf of the Entrepreneurship Group at Ivey Business School, and the Morrisette Institute for Entrepreneurship.
Canada has an amazing academic legacy. We believe in discourse, inclusivity, and research excellence. To this end, we see an opportunity to support Canadian entrepreneurship research, policy ,and practice by enhancing and further developing our very special Canadian academic entrepreneurship research community.
From May 28th-31st, 2026 we are planning on hosting a Canadian Entrepreneurship Research Conference at Ivey Business School, London, Ontario.
Who is welcome...
Entrepreneurship Researchers located in Canada? Yes.
Entrepreneurship Researchers located outside Canada? Yes.
The purposes of which, are:
- Support the growth and integration of the Canadian entrepreneurship community
- Provide an outlet for entrepreneurship research and dialogue among researchers
- Expose Canadian entrepreneurship researchers to new ideas, conversations, colleagues, perspectives, and collaboration opportunities
-
Provide an opportunity for the development of PhD students interested in Entrepreneurship (i.e., we will have a PhD student specific program)
-
Provide opportunities for us all to develop our entrepreneurship research toolkit
-
Facilitate conversations to support Canadian excellence in entrepreneurship
We are fortunate to have the support of the Journal of Business Venturing, such that in addition to the above will be opportunities for mentoring, networking, and feedback from many of that Journal's editors.
We will reach out again later in January, 2026. Best to you for the end of semester, and a safe and happy holiday Season.
Best Regards,
Dan
